Constructing a 2-story office using a 3D printer

Architectural 3D printing company D1 Tech Corporation completed the construction of its 2-story office using a 3D printer last April, 2023.

It took ten hours to print each of the L-shaped wall, and a total of ten walls were made to build the basic framework of the building within four days. Despite the sharp rise in labor and material costs, it took only two personnel and less than KRW 7M to finish the basic framework.

The wall establishment and exterior and interior work process took about thirty days to complete, and the total construction cost, including windows, flooring, electricity, and labor, was KRW 83M.

Professor Dong-Hyun Kim of Sejong University stated that by completing the 2-story office, he believes that construction 3D printing will resolve many issues that ordinary people face when building their own houses.
